The Making of a Medium
by Elaine Kuzmeskus
Elaine Kuzmeskus, director of the New England School of Metaphysics, is a nationally known Spiritualist medium. Born with the gift of clairvoyance, she made contact with her Hindu guide at ago four: "Ever since I was in my crib, I had been fascinated by spirits. When about four, a Hindu gentlemen only I could see started giving me instructions from the other side. 'Cross your fingers and place them over the middle of your forehead. Now concentrate and push the energy out.' Soon I was able to visualize people and see them in their future state. Other guides quickly followed: an Egyptian master, and an ancient Chinese doctor." In 1972, Elaine Kuzmeskus was certified by the National Association of Spiritualist Churches as a medium. During her thirty-five years of mediumship, she has conducted many well-publicized séances.
